Private 3-Month Confidence Coaching for Competitive Gymnasts
Private Confidence Coaching for Gymnasts

Talent can only take her so far if she does not trust herself.

The Confident Gymnast helps gymnasts work through fear, mental blocks, pressure, comparison, and self-doubt—so they can become the athlete they are capable of becoming.

This is not more technical coaching. It is the missing support that helps her use the skills she is already training, recover after hard moments, and walk into the gym believing she belongs there.

You Can See Her Potential

But right now, she cannot.

You know how talented she is. You see how hard she works. You know how much gymnastics matters to her.

But you are also watching fear, pressure, comparison, and self-doubt get louder than everything she already knows how to do.

1

She freezes on skills she knows she can do.

Her body stops even when her coach is telling her she is ready.

2

She takes every mistake personally.

One fall, correction, or rough turn can change the way she sees the entire practice.

3

She feels like everyone else is passing her.

Instead of seeing her progress, she sees the skills and levels everyone else has.

4

She works harder but feels less confident.

The more important gymnastics becomes, the more pressure she feels to prove herself.

You keep telling her, “You’ve got this.” But she needs someone to teach her how to believe it for herself.
The Missing Piece

Confidence does not come after the skill.

Confidence is what helps her go for the skill in the first place.

Your gymnast does not need to wait until she is no longer afraid, until she earns the score, or until someone else tells her she is good enough.

Confidence is not something she is born with. It is something she creates.

When she learns how to create it, she can stop letting fear make every decision for her.

What Becomes Possible

She becomes the kind of gymnast who trusts herself.

She goes for skills with more trust.

Not because fear disappears, but because she knows how to move through it.

She recovers faster.

A fall or rough practice no longer has to become a full confidence spiral.

She performs closer to her potential.

She learns how to manage pressure and bring more confidence into competition.

She stops making comparison mean she is behind.

She can focus on her growth instead of measuring herself against every teammate.

She enjoys gymnastics again.

The sport can feel like something she loves—not something she has to survive.

She carries that confidence into life.

The self-trust she builds in the gym becomes a skill she can use everywhere.

Rachael Jencks
Meet Rachael

I understand this as a coach—and as a gymnastics mom.

I am a certified confidence coach and a mom to two Division I gymnasts and two Level 10 gymnasts.

I have watched my own daughters navigate the parts of gymnastics most people never see: fear, mental blocks, injuries, comparison, pressure, hard coach relationships, rough meets, slow progress, and the moments when they questioned whether they were good enough.

I also know what it feels like to sit in the car after practice and wish you could make your daughter see herself the way you see her.

I created The Confident Gymnast because technical coaching alone is not always enough. Gymnasts also need tools to understand what is happening inside them, work through fear, recover from setbacks, and trust themselves when the pressure is high.

My goal is not simply to help your gymnast perform better. It is to help her become unshakably confident—in practice, competition, and life.

The Confident Gymnast

Three months to change the way she handles fear, pressure, and self-doubt.

Confidence is not built in one conversation.

It is built by learning what to do when fear shows up—and practicing those tools until trusting herself becomes her new normal.

Over three months, your gymnast will have consistent coaching and support as she applies these tools to real practices, skills, meets, setbacks, and wins.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions you may be asking before you join.

What ages is The Confident Gymnast for?

The Confident Gymnast is for gymnasts struggling with confidence, fear, mental blocks, pressure, comparison, perfectionism, or self-trust.

What if my gymnast is shy or does not open up easily?

That is okay. She does not need to arrive ready to share everything. We will build trust over time, and I will meet her where she is.

What if she has never done confidence coaching before?

Most gymnasts have not. I will guide her through the process and give her practical ways to use coaching during practices, meets, and everyday life.

Will online coaching work?

Yes. Confidence coaching does not require us to be in the gym together. Meeting outside the gym can give gymnasts a safer place to talk honestly.

Does she need to have a mental block?

No. The Confident Gymnast can also help with competition nerves, comparison, perfectionism, fear of mistakes, pressure, and low self-trust.

What if she already works with a sports psychologist or therapist?

This coaching may complement other support, but it is not therapy and does not replace medical or mental health care.

What happens during the weekly calls?

We work on what she needs most that week, including fear, a mental block, a hard practice, meet preparation, comparison, or confidence routines.

How does Voxer coaching work?

Voxer is a voice and text messaging app your gymnast can use between calls to ask for coaching, share a win, or process a challenge.

What is the parent call for?

The parent call gives you a private place to ask questions and learn how to support your gymnast without accidentally increasing pressure.

Why is this a three-month coaching experience?

Building confidence takes practice. Your gymnast needs time to learn the tools, use them during real practices and competitions, get coached through setbacks, and reinforce what is working. Three months gives us the opportunity to create meaningful change instead of simply helping her feel better for a few days.

Can you guarantee a skill, score, placement, or result?

No coach can guarantee a specific gymnastics outcome. This coaching helps your gymnast build confidence, self-trust, and effective tools she can use in her gymnastics.

She Does Not Need More Pressure

She needs the tools to trust herself.

Your gymnast already has coaches teaching her the skills. The Confident Gymnast gives her three months of private support to build the confidence and self-trust to use them.
